We got tired of not knowing
who was real.

Spend an evening in any online argument about this country's future and you will meet a hundred voices. Some belong to people who pay their subscription every month, turn up in the rain to deliver leaflets, and have done for years. Others belong to nobody at all.

You cannot tell them apart. That is the problem. It lets a handful of fake accounts speak louder than a hall full of real members, and it lets anyone dismiss a genuine movement as astroturf. Both are corrosive, and both come from the same missing piece: there is no way to show you actually joined.

The organisations themselves cannot fix it. Asking a party to vouch for its own supporters proves nothing to anyone who already distrusts the party. It has to come from outside, from something that is nobody's creature and takes nobody's word for it.

So we built the boring, useful thing

Patriots Unite checks a seal that an organisation's own computers put inside the emails they send you. We do not ask them for permission and we do not ask you to trust us — the proof is in the email you already hold, and it cannot be faked. If it holds up, you get a badge and a page you can share. If it does not, you do not, and we tell you why.

It is free, and it stays free. We are not going to build something that decides who counts and then charge people to be counted.

What we believe

We love this country. Not a tidied-up version of it — the real one, with its cathedrals and its market towns, its lifeboat crews and its regiments, its habit of muddling through and its genius for fair play. A place that gave the world the jury trial, the lifeboat, habeas corpus and the idea that a person's home is their own.

We think that inheritance is worth defending, and that the people who quietly pay their dues to defend it deserve better than being lumped in with anonymous shouting. Standing up for Britain should not cost you your good name.

And let us be plain about what this is not. This is a service for people who love their country, not for people who hate someone else's. Patriotism is a positive thing — pride in what we have built and a wish to hand it on intact. Anyone looking for a badge to dress up bigotry has come to the wrong place, and will not be welcome here.

Independent, and staying that way

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or funded by any political party or organisation, including the ones we verify. We take no donations from them and we do not campaign. A verification layer that took sides would be worth nothing, and we would rather be useful than popular.

We are also careful with what you give us. Membership of a political organisation is sensitive information under UK law and we treat it that way: your name appears on a badge only if you switch it on, your email is never shown or passed to anyone, verification pages stay out of search results, and you can delete the lot permanently whenever you like. That is set out properly in our privacy policy.
